Tony Blair held talks on Friday with his Bulgarian counterpart Sergei Stanishev.
Their brief discussions at Number 10 centred on relations between the two countries and general European issues.
Bulgaria joined the European Union, along with Romania, at the start of this year, taking its membership to 27.
