Tony Blair has answered a range of questions from the cross-party Liaison Committee in Parliament.
The PM, who gives evidence to the panel of MPs twice a year, began the session at 11:00 BST with a discussion on public sector reform. Mr Blair said that public services had improved during his time in office and that the public sector as a whole was getting used to the idea of "constantly updating" to meet "the public’s high expectations".
The Prime Minister also defended the policy of military intervention in countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan, and said it was wrong to think that ongoing problems in those areas were down to "errors in planning".
