Four Knighthoods Conferred

The Queen has been pleased to approve that the honour of Knighthood be conferred upon David Robert Foskett QC, Alastair Hubert Norris QC, Nicholas Felix Stadlen QC and Robert Akenhead QC on their appointment as Justices of the High Court.

David Robert Foskett: Born 1949. Educated at Warwick School; King’s Col., London. Called to Bar, Gray’s Inn, 1972, Bencher, 1999; Member, Midland Circuit; Asst Recorder, 1992-95; Recorder, since 1995; a Dep. High Court Judge since 1998.

Alastair Hubert Norris: Born 1950. Educated at Pate’s Grammar School, Cheltenham; St John’s Coll., Cambridge (MA). Called to the Bar, Lincoln’s Inn, 1973; an Asst Recorder, 1998-2000; a Recorder 2000-01; a Circuit Judge, since 2001.

Nicholas Felix Stadlen: Born 1950. Educated at St Paul’s School; Trinity Coll., Cambridge. Called to Bar, Inner Temple, 1976; an Asst Recorder, 1997-2000; a Recorder, since 2000.

Robert Akenhead: Born 1949. Educated at Rugby School; Exeter University. Called to the Bar, Inner Temple, 1972, Bencher, 1997; an Asst Recorder, 1991-1994; a Recorder since 1994.
