The Prime Minister has praised the winners of the Young People of the Year Award (YOPEY) at a special reception held recently at Downing Street.

Well it’s a great pleasure to have you here in Downing Street and all of you have done very very special things and I think the whole country is really proud of what you have achieved and this competition that is been so well organised now were into the final 3 and about to be the final one
Laura for being a great career, I think your whole family is incredibly proud of you and what you do to help your brothers and sisters and help your mother and help your father is something that the whole country wants to acknowledge.
And scarlet what a wonderful thing to do to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and because your have been there you know the great work that they do but because you recognise the great work they do by raising money for then the world appreciates with everything you do and I know your family is of you and we are really proud of you as well.
And Sam and Natalie have organised this boxing club. I am not sure I want to meet all the people you have trained because you will be very good boxers but it is not just boys and girl are learning to box and there is now lots of clubs in the rest of the country as a result of the inspiration that has been given to by this club and the police and others are supporting it.
So well done for what you have achieved. So you are all champions, so your all stars, your all really heroes and we really want to thank each and everyone of you for everything that you have done and your families for the support that they have given you.
And now I have to open this envelope.
