The Queen has been pleased to approve that Sir Stanley Jeffrey Burnton be sworn of Her Majesty’s most honourable Privy Council on his appointment as a Lord Justice of Appeal.

Stanley Jeffrey Burnton: Born in 1942 and educated at Hackney Downs Grammar School; St Edmund Hall, Oxford. Called to the Bar, Middle Temple, 1965. Bencher, 1991; a Recorder, 1994-2000; a Judge of the High Court of Justice, Queen’s Bench Division since 2000.
