The Prime Minister has re-appointed Dr David Landau as a Trustee of the National Gallery for a further two years with effect from 5 November 2001.

Biographical Note

Dr Landau has combined being an art historian and connoisseur with a business career in publishing. He has been a National Gallery Trustee since 1996.

Dr Landau has not undertaken any significant political activity in the past five years.

Notes to Editors

The National Gallery houses the nation’s prime collection of European paintings from the 13th to the 19thcenturies. The Gallery’s Trustee posts are not remunerated.
