The Prime Minister has re-appointed Mr John Studzinski, Professor Jennifer Latto and Ms Victoria Barnsley as Trustees of The Tate, for a period of four years with effect from 1 August 2003.

Biographical Details

John Studzinski joined Morgan Stanley International in 1989 as Head of Corporate Finance (Europe) and was appointed to Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (Europe) in 1992 and in 1997, Head of Investment Banking (Europe). In 2001, Mr Studzinski was appointed Deputy Chairman of Morgan Stanley. In 2003, he joined HSBC as Chief Executive of Corporate, Investment Banking and Markets. He is a Member of Tate’s Finance and Audit sub-committee, member of the Board of Directors for Human Rights Watch since 1999 and from 1998 Chair of Business Action on Homeless.

Professor Jennifer Latto is the Adviser on Higher Education to the Government Office for the North West. From 1994 - 2002 she was Provost of Liverpool John Moores University, where she also held a Professorship in Educational Psychology from 1992. She has been Chair of Tate Liverpool Advisory Council since 1998.

Ms Victoria Barnsley was the founder and publisher of Fourth Estate Publishers from 1984 to 2000 and appointed Chief Executive of Harper Collins Publishers in 2000. She is a Member of Tate’s Finance and Audit sub-committee and since 2001, a Director of Tate Enterprise Ltd. She has held the post of Chairman Tate Britain Council since 2003.
