The Queen has been pleased to approve that Jane Kennedy MP, Alan Johnson MP and Jacqueline Smith MP, be sworn of Her Majesty’s most honourable Privy Council.

Alan Arthur Johnson: Member of Parliament for Hull West and Hessle since 1997. Born 1950 and educated at Sloane Grammar School, Chelsea. HM Treasury: PPS to Dawn Primarolo: 1997-1999; Department of Trade and Industry: Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Competitiveness) 1999-2001, Minister of State 2001-2003; Department of Education and Skills: Minister of State for Lifelong Learning, Further and Higher Education, 2003-.

Jacqueline Jill Smith MP: Member of Parliament for Redditch since 1997. Born 1962 and educated at Dyson Perrins High School, Malvern; Hertford College, Oxford University.
