The Prime Minister has today announced the appointment of Professor David Greenaway as the new Chairman of the Armed Forces’ Pay Review Body. He will take up the post in March 2004. This appointment will last for three years. He succeeds Baroness Dean who has been a valued and highly respected Chairman since 1999.
Biographical Note
Professor David Greenaway is Professor of Economics at the University of Nottingham and was Pro-Vice-Chancellor between 1994 and 2001. He is currently Head of the School of Economics and Director of the Leverhulme Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy. He is widely published, at various times has been a consultant to the World Bank, United Nations and HMT and is currently conducting an independent review of uninsured driving for the Minister for Transport. He has also served as a member of the Armed Forces’ Pay Review Body for the past 6 years.
