Who’s who in the G8?
The G8 (Group of Eight) includes the UK, France, Japan, the USA, Germany, Italy, Canada and Russia.
Russia joined the original G7 in 1998 and will hold the Presidency in 2006.
The G7 still exists as a grouping for Finance Ministers.
The G8 does not claim to speak for the world or for anyone other than the Governments of those eight countries.
