Australian Prime Minister John Howard was at Number 10 yesterday when news broke of the latest London bomb attacks.
Appearing alongside Tony Blair at a news conference, he said:
"There is no city in the world, after our own, that Australians have more affection for, more identification with and a great sense of history about than the city of London."
"Australia sympathises…and will remain steadfast with Britain in pursuit of the common values and common causes that we have. Terrorism is the enemy of all free people."
Mr Howard was in Downing Street for routine talks with the Prime Minister.
