Trustee for Museum of London

The Prime Minister announced today that Jeremy Willoughby OBE has been appointed as a Trustee of the Museum of London for a term of four years.

Biographical Notes

Jeremy Willoughby is Group Compliance and Risk Director at Schroders PLC where he is responsible for compliance to UK and global regulatory standards.  From 1990 to 1997, he was Director of Legal Compliance at Gartmore Investment Management Ltd. 

He was Chairman of the Investment Management Association Regulation and Taxation Committee between 1998 and 2002 and is currently a Member of the Development Council of the National Art Collections Fund and a Governor of Birkbeck.  He received an OBE in 2002 for Services to PIA and IMRO.

Notes for Editors

The Museum of London maintains and exhibits collections of the history of London from prehistoric times to the present day.  It has over one and a half million objects and operates on three sites, at London Wall, the Museum of London Archaeology Service and the London Archaeological Archive and Research Centre.

This appointment has been made in accordance with the OCPA Code of Practice. Appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process.
