European leaders conclude talks at Hampton Court

Tony Blair relaxes for a moment during a pause in the taking of the EU summit 'family' photograph Tony Blair and the European leaders have finished their discussions at today’s informal summit in London.

The meeting was held four months into the presidency, and a day after the PM addressed the European Parliament - telling MEPs it was time to get ‘Europe moving in the right direction’.

Mr Blair also took the opportunity during the day to meet with the leaders of Croatia and Turkey - both countries want to join the European Union.

The next EU summit takes place in Brussels in December.
