The Queen has been pleased to approve that Caroline Swift QC and Julia Macur QC, be appointed Dame Commanders of the Order of the British Empire on their appointment as Justices of the High Court.

Julia Wendy Macur: born 1957 and educated at Sheffield University. Called to the Bar, Lincoln’s Inn, 1979; Midland and Oxford Circuit; QC, 1998; Recorder, 1999.
