Children from across the UK travelled to Number 10 to quiz Tony Blair about how much progress has been made in helping Africa.
Supported by pop group McFly, the youngsters wanted to know what the government were doing to help people their age in the developing world.
The delegation were taking part in the My Friend Needs a Teacher campaign, one year on from the Gleneagles summit.
We reported last week how thousands of kind-hearted kids had been sending in decorative "cut-out" teachers to symbolise the need for education in poor countries.
Five of the 8000 schools that have taken part brought their handiwork with them to Downing Street to show Mr Blair. He said he would take some of the cut-outs to the G8 summit in Russia later this month.
Chart-toppers McFly, who wrote the recent Comic Relief single All About You, have offered their full support to My Friend Needs a Teacher.
