Christoper Fisher re-appointed to the Imperial War Museum

The Prime Minister has re-appointed Christopher Fisher to the Board of the Imperial War Museum for a period of 4 years from 12 July 2006.

Biographical Notes:

Christopher Fisher has spent most of his career in investment banking principally at Lazard, where he was a managing director until 2003, and subsequently at KPMG, where he has served as vice chairman, corporate finance. Since 2003 he has also been a non-executive director of Kelda, the FTSE 100 water group, and has recently become a non-executive director of Southern Cross Healthcare, Britain’s largest care home operator. He is also a member of the development board of the University of Reading.

Christopher Fisher has not been involved in any political activity in the past five years.

Notes to Editors

The Imperial War Museum (IWM) was founded in 1917 to "record the story of the Great War". Its remit has subsequently been exended to cover the Second World War and all military operations involving Britain or the Commonwealth since August 1914.
