Jean Tulloch appointed as Lord-Lieutenant for Dumfries

The Queen has been pleased to appoint Mrs Jean Tulloch as Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for Dumfries upon the retirement of Captain Ronald Cunningham-Jardine on 19 September 2006.

Biographical Notes

Mrs Jean Tulloch has been a Deputy Lieutenant for Dumfries since 1998. She is President of the Dumfries and Galloway Red Cross and chairs its fund-raising committee. She was also a member of the Dumfries and Galloway Health Board from 1983, and latterly chairman, until 1997. She has served on the Scottish Committee for Crossroads. From 1970 to 1985 she was Area Convenor and President of the Kippford Inshore Lifeboat. Mrs Tulloch is married to John who farms. Mrs Tulloch has three children and three stepchildren.
